heated it up with a torch, hit it a few times.

the bolt was so stripped that was one of my problems i couldnt get anything on it to grab it good enough to put any pressure on it. but i god a tool set from sears a while abck for taking out stripped bolts, pounded this socket over the bolt, stood on it and it came loose!!!! i was sooo happy i worked on this thing for hours! thanks so much!!!

my plug requires a 14mm HEX. i think it is a MBZ drain plug

When I had just purchased my vehicle, I had flown out with a hand full of tools. I had sockets and wrenches, the drain plug would neither budge hot or cold. It was perfectly new and squared off, the plug, that is. Ended up having to get it up on a lift, and it broke free. Wow, what an eye opening experience. I feel its a poor design, but I've gotten past the little things.
