woot...i have windshield washers again
i haven't had 'em for like 6 months.
about 3 weeks ago i pulled out the tank, and with the help of a friend listening, discovered that the pump is borked. $20 later from az autohaus, and an hour putting it back together, i have a new pump and working washers.
oh, and i also replaced the tubing that runs from the pump to the nozzles...the old one crumbled as i pulled it out of the rubber fittings.

u like teh autohaus az, eh? too bad you're gonna hate the headlight washers and want to disable
them soon. To quote someone, I can't remember who, "They don't seem to do much except run you out of washer fluid."

Mine 'struck' a gigantic leak (It's a gusher!) soon after I bought the car
I used an old sparking plug from the 80Q to plug. (I would think one O those misc Yugo parts would work as well here...)

The headlight washers are great
But you need Feico's special washer relay which lets you use the windshield squirters without the headlight squirters.
They do improve the light output quite a bit when the roads are dirty, IME.

Where do you get this relay? There's a leak somewhere in my headlight washer plumbing...
and it results in pissing washer fluid all over the bellypan, and not enough pressure to activate the pass side hl sprayer. need to figure that out, once it's above freezing...

Man, it sounds like alot of us have washer problems.
On mine there is a leak somewhere. If I pour a gallon of washer fluid, the bottle will be empty in about a month. (yes, I've had the car sit that long before undriven)
Yet if I pour a little bit in, it seems as if I always get a good 5-10 sprays or so before I run out of juice, which is fine because I always pour in a little bit after I've used the sprayers.
The annoying thing is the washer warning won't go off the autocheck unless I pour a pretty large amount in....most of which manages to leak out.
I will have to disassemble the front end when spring rolls along...
