something about that, i don't like too much so I switched back to synth blend which doesn't get burned up. what do you guys think? is it normal to consume that much oil and even if it's consuming it then oil, is it still worth using full synthetic?

that should be normal...
i mean every turbo car even the new one's out of the factory will burn up oil, and i can also imagine u have a high milage S-car as well, so what you are burning is more then fine. BEfore my valve job i used to burn a quart ever 600 miles now a quart will last me till the next oil change which is usually 2200-2500 miles

No way 2.5-3 quarts is normal or accapted in 5k miles.
KKK turbos are known to consume oil, yes, but anything over 2 quarts in 5k miles should be looked at carefully, or a differnt grade of oil should be used.

castrol syntec 10w-40. i was gonna try Rotella T synth 5W40 this time
but it said "Soot Control" which to me says...lots of detergents which will just make it burn more oil.

my car has 123,xxx which is pretty low for a 92. it also had the head rebuilt at about 80k
do you change your synthetic oil every 2500 miles? that's just a waste man.
