So, pulling out of a parking lot today, I flip on my blinker to properly signal my intended left turn.

Nothing happens.

The light on the guage cluster stays dim, no clicking noise, no nothing.

Same thing to the right. Hazards *do* work.

I didn't get a chance to get outside the car to see if the exterior lights were blinking. (maybe it was just the instrument cluster?)

At the next red light, I turn the engine off and start it again - the blinkers resume working as advertised.

Anyone ever see anything like this?

My blinker would occasionally stay in the "ON" position. The lights were on outside as well, no blinking.

The blinker would work if I would lift the stalk half way for some reason. I never checked the hazard.

After some recommendations on the board, I first tried electrical contact cleaner on the stalk. Problem persisted, and went to the dealer and got a new flasher and it has been working fine ever since. The flasher is the hazard button itself, so maybe something's loose in there, and when you press the hazard button it tighted up the connections?

Thanks for the info! I guess this explains why the "blinker noise" comes from the center console, huh?

I am fairly sure I checked the blinkers after pressing the hazard button and they still didn't work, but I'm not 100%. I think they only started working after I shut the car down and restarted it.

...the blinkers resumed working shortly thereafter, so I suspect it wouldn't be a blown fuse.

Could be a loose fuse, I suppose. I'll check that.
