I'm debating selling my (pretty much) stock S4 and picking up an already modified one. If anyone is considering selling theres, shoot me an e-mail with more info!

My car is still stock but I am assembling all the bits and pieces. So far I have bbk, euro springs, fake boleros and RS2 em all sitting in the basement. Still need turbo, injectors and software (probably hoses too).

I know that once I put all the money into it I will never get it out of it.

But that being said at least I know what I am starting with. Car has 78k and I have all receipts from new.

I had 2 Silver ones before my black one... I love the Silver... what kind of money are you looking to get?

setting aside for a second what someone is willing to pay... When trying to figure the value of an older S-car and how to value mods vs. stock, milage, condition, ect. your car will sometings be an example. High miles, but great mods and upkeeping, great looks... what's it's value??? Interesting too, that you somewhat recently purchased it for an amount that valued it's mod history and keeping. Yet, now are considering selling it, which might make people think that you may have overlooked the milage too much at the time you purchased it and it has a factor in why you want to sell it now, thus serving as an example to value of miles... you car has arguments for both sides...

The first-second gear syncro will need to be repaired... which probably means a new clutch and doing some seals while I'm at it. There are the normal rock chips on the front of the car, the sunroof doesn't open and close properly and the drivers side heated seat doesn't work. I would do the first to second gear syncro and clutch before I sell it, but the heated seat and sunroof issues would be something the next owner would have to do. It only has about 106k miles on it - pretty low for the year... and mechanically speaking the car has been pretty stout during both my ownership and the previous owners time with the car.

All things considered I would probably be asking $8000-$8500 USD (obo) with a new clutch and rebuilt tranny.

Dash, gauges, seats, carpet and body. Thats really the only stuff that has the high miles on it. Only considering selling it for work purposes...need a truck. I might keep it. Great car.

I highly value the mods and history. I was speaking in general. I has to be hard to get others to overlook the milage...
