this was asked a few days ago but i never saw a for sure response, someone said on the tranny (that sounds risky) i want to put the front end up all at once so im not fighting the sway bar and torquing the car.

im talking about putting the floor jack in the center of the car on somthing to put the entire front end up at once, not one side at a time..

ive done it 15 times on my 5000, i thought someone could of been like oh use the cross member right here, but if its such a ****ing hassle for you to read my post id rather have someone else respond. by the way i feel vastly inferior to your wrench skills.

rocker or the u-shaped skid plates further underneath. This car is kinda to big and heavy to get the whole front up with one jack IMHO.

it wont go up as high as the floor jack but at least it will help a little, thanks for the tip.

find a good spot on the sub frame but if not ill just do a corner at a time, or use two jacks, thanks for the help.

The factory jack spots aren't really meant to be used again and again.. you'll notice that they deform really quickly. One thing to be aware of is that if you mess them up too badly, the factory "suicide jack" won't work very well. The little ridge on the factory spots was put there to coincide with the slot on the factory jack, and if they're all mashed, well, you get the picture.

Personally I like to jack the car up under the knuckle on each wheel assembly. Then, I put a stationary jack stand under the U-shaped channel on each side.

It's possible to put a jack under the subframe, but that has several problems. First, the splash pan is in the way. Can't get the splash pan off without getting the car up. Catch 22. Second, it takes a really big floor jack to actually REACH that spot on the car. It's possible, but not everyone has a big ole jack like that. Third, it's very dangerous to jack up the car from a spot in the middle like I'm describing. More than one person has been maimed or killed from a car falling off a perch like this.

The rear is easier.. jack under the rear diff and you should be fine. Or do each corner as described above.
