I have an A4 1.8TQW, and in gears 3-5 the vibrating stops. What's going on? I could swear that when I test drove the A4 before I bought it that the stick-shift never vibrated. This isn't normal, is it?

I think some slight vibration in 1st or 2nd is quite normal...I've never owned a car that didn't have this slight vibration.....is it really that irksome? More importantly, are you pleased with the acceleration you're getting at these low gears?

Instead of a cable link for better feel. Do not rest your hand on it if you are not actually shifting.
