get the TBN, oil extendivity checked. I wanted to know how far I could use oil. And it looks like 5,000 miles or more is easily doable.

i ask because Audi recommends against 5w30 in the manual.

It's interesting that I think every oil report that's been posted here in the last few months has had high silicon levels. Is there somethind deficient about the stock air filter, or is this actually something endemic to this engine?

but at 0W, I can only get 40 weight. Therefore, per the analysis, since I am already at a higher viscosity level, 40 weight would just make that worse - to my understanding.

I'll probably try the new extended oil from Mobil next time around.
