So I pulled over right away. All gauges were in the green. Upon jacking my car up I found traces of fresh dripped oil and wee bit of coolant on the pan and the x-over pipe.

Pan doesn't look cracked. Couldn't find the source of the coolant leak. Looked hard.

So I decided to be safe and rather than drive the car I had it towed back to UMass... won't be going home for easter.

I ran it for like 2 min on the side of the road after the hit. I couldn't see anything leaking below. All the gauges were in the green for this period of time. Oil filter is good... special fumitomo oil drain valve is good... I have no idea where this could have leaked from... only the initial small trace leakages are visible.

I'm gonna go take some pics, maybe you guys can help.

Hot oil would drip out of a hairline crack quickly. A serious crack would gush. The traces of oil you saw may have just been residual. Park it in one spot and put a large piece of cardboard under it to check.

Oh, and what is this ice stuff you speak of? Haven't seen it for over a year. :-)

There was no dripping on the tow truck bed, either... I'm baffled. It's like my car decided to burp out some oil and coolant when I hit this fvckin asswipe of a bump.

Until he ran out of oil. The pump pickup is submerged in 4 quarts of oil. A leak causes nothing but loss of oil. Loss of oil will eventually cause loss of pressure, but not right away.

wannt me to bring my pressure tester to school also. And if you are leaking there (coolant) it maybe what happen to the green car, the freeze safty thing was leaking on the water pump, also that is if you have one, i don't remember.
