the plastic tabs on the front core support that hold the hood release cable in please snapped off today. i was told they switched to part to something metal, but regardless does anyone have a part number so i can order new ones.

I was thinking that, but then I need to drill a hole the core support to give the zip tie a place to pass through. i figured i'd price out the replacement parts first. right now its rigged up with some safety wire.

The price is just pocket change. When you go to install them put them in a cup of hot hot water. Get them nice and warm and push into place. It's a tight fit and mine would not go in when cold. BTW they are plastic as of 6 months ago. I doubt if you would want these out of metal.

Sorry for yelling but the bastards you get from Audi will pop out and you'll have the same problem again. Use a thick zip tip!

use a flat head screwdriver to bend the metal out a little so you can get the zip tie through. Works great and won't break like the crappy OEM plastic stuff.
