Well decided to stop down at Mac Autosport for a dyno run to compare my latest chipset to my previous from MRC. Oddly enough Mike Peterson was down there also with Pete Tsai dynoing his custom GT30 with KKK flanges. He is working out a boost issue but I think his end results should be awesome!

My results were good but had 1 issue:
-1) Found a exhaust leak on my manifold..3 nutz around cylinder #5 getting loose (thx Pete for finding that and we got it fixed..after above run)

- New chipset increased timing 4500-5500 and less timing after 5500 and a bit more boost up top 22'ish to redline

The increase in timing gave me around 20 HP more between 4500 and 5200 RPM and got rid of that dip we saw in the previous run..but the retarding of the timing at 5500 hurt top HP numbers. (Clearly seen in the attached dyno)

Working w/ Mihnea to get an updated fuel/timing chip to bring back the timing that we had in the previous chipset in particular that 5500 and above range. Think after that we should be good!

I am missing entirely one stud underneath cyl. 4. I haven't heard any escaping-exhaust type noises.

I was missing two studs, and it took me three or four hours (!) to get the easy one installed. Stupid f***ing previous owner's mechanic.

Pete also just probed at the copper washer and it would spin.

Don't wanna start this argument again, just curious. :-)

Also looking at your dyno run I noticed it noted std correction factor (Now I suspect this isnt based on the "swinger" you are :) ) Not sure what std correction is? IF I set my run to that I am at 373/420. But the fact that you are able to hold that torque for around 1K..is impressive

Cheers

I do have another dyno sheet with water injection off and NO correction factor. 320 lb ft, 360 hp. Curves look the same, just a little higher on one of em. :-)

IMO, it doesn't make a big difference if you correct them down here at sea level, but that's a whole other post. See Dawson Dyno War of 2004.

I'm predicting that if I make it up there, my corrected torque will be something absolutely silly, like 430ish.

Yeah, the torque is nice for a 2.0L. On both dyno charts, it shows that it hits at 3.5k. On the street, it hits 500rpm sooner.

maybe I can meet you down there

But since I'm leaving here on Friday, I doubt I'm going to make it. If things change, I'll let you know.
