ive been getting an intermittent buck.

ive figured out that it only happens at near neutral throttle. say... when im lightly accelerating at around 3k rpm. y'know that limbo throttle point in between no throttle and part throttle. right there.

but sometimes when starting fom a stop, as if the 4 puck wasnt touchy enough. this jolt will almost stall me out.

it doesnt like indeciciveness.. if im really on or off throttle it doesnt do it, only when im gentle, wich for a car that gets barely 20mpg, pumps 25psi w 150k is what id like to respect...

but like ive ,she is a dirty girl that likes it pinned (:

anybody experience this anomoly ?

i just changed all 5 coils, f2cs plugs and a reallly expensive ignition amplifier.

whats next a f*ing lobotomy...

please offer up any and all feedback

Have you had your codes dropped?

i had one showing a bad MAF sensor and then remebered that i diconnected it to see if the problem got better or worse, neither.

so i disconnected by battery to clear them and checked after more bucks... still nothing

Common problem, but wouldn't it give you a fault code?

Usually a bad ignition coil fails under load. A POS failure is all the time. What you have could be anything. I think I would start with the plugs. Make sure you are running the right ones (link. Check the boots on the plugs for wear. When you changed the coils, were they new ones?

Scott Mockry

yeah all new pieces.

5coils&5connectors. 5 bosch racing f2cs plugs(reccommended for my setup). 1 ignition amplifier. there are 2 but supposedly the one i replaced shouldnt've gon bad (& maybe didnt)

thanks for reminding me of SJM. theyve really changed their site since i last visited.

im at a loss ...maybe contact spray & pray

solder shouldnt be needed, the connectors, wiresand harnesses appear to be in good shape

perseverence ay... how bout it

AFAIK, there is only one plug recommended for these engines. I would start there.

Who told you to use the F2CS plugs?

(:

seriously now though, it is hans dahlback... if youre running his kits and you have problems and arent running the components he 'says' and something goes wrong, hes not so supportive.

maybe i have too much trust, but he does have some wild cars that run consistent

When did your problems start? Related at all the plug install?

i noticed the problem once, maybe twice when the car was still running PLATIN. specifically at 2800 in 3rd moving from no throttle to lite throttle.

yesterday for the first time it moved to 36&3800 at a touch less than mid throttle in 2nd 3rd & 4th, w/ seriously retarded hesitation
