Today Clair told me they do not have any official info or fix on wet braking problems for A4. Aside from routine inspection and testing of my brakes, they have nothing to offer for the moment. I asked about the European shield installation program reported here, but they didn't seem to know about it. They did say other owners have reported similar braking problems.
They also said they still have no parts for the brake booster recall.

Are we talking Audis, in general, A4s, in general, or specific MY A4s? My 99.5 seems to stop pretty well in very wet conditions --- or it did yesterday, anyway. Anything specific on this problem, or is it age of the system? (Mine's 5k and seven weeks old.)

I've got '97 A4QT with 29K mi. Bernardi replaced my rear brakes at 27K & tried to convince me that it was totally normal! The earliest I've ever
replace brakes is over 50K.
With yesterday's rain, at my first early morning
traffic light, I stepped on the brakes and the car didn't slow down at all. Thankfully I was 2 car lengths behind a vehicle stopped at a light,
the second application worked.
I've experienced this several other times...
