Hi all,
I just took my 99.5 2.8Q in to the dealer yesterday to have him look at a high-pitched "eek" sound coming from the front suspension over bumps with windows down. I searched the archives and found some people got it fixed with greases/lube on the brake clips(?) and some people had to have the LCAs replaced. However, must of the posts I found in the search were for 96 and 97 Models. My question is - if anyone with 99.5 A4 has had the same problem and what was the fix?
BTW - of course it was raining and wet yesterday so the dealer and I both could not reproduce the sound yesterday.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm on my 3rd set. The first two lasted about 30-35k miles. The set I have now are from a 99.5 model car. They are already going bad with only 2000 miles on them.

I also know of a couple other 99.5 owners who are already having problems. The problem appears to be getting worse rather than better.
