I have a 94 S4 I have reatached the small hose near the fire wall and noticed a very big change in output and zing sound from turbo. About 2 months after I fixed the hose clamp I bought a Baily valve and new turbo to crossover & intercooler hose. Everything felt about the same after I installed them except when I let off the gas and push my clutch in I hear a quick ssshhh on every single shift weather I'm driving fast or slow this sound was not there before. If it had to be put into text it would be zzzzzzzzz shhhhhh zzzzzzzz shhhhhh. It does NOT make this sound while the turbo is spooling and I'm on the gas---only when shifting gears. The only thing I hear when the turbo is going on throtle is zzzzzzzzzz. I am hoping this is a normal sound with a properly functioning bypass valve and my old one was messed up. I would really appreciate any input.

I also have the K&N Air Filter Element, i believe all your hearing is the air pushing its way out the air filter box, my car is un-affected by this i think, due to the fact i still run consistent 0-60's in 5.6 seconds. I also have a MTM Stage 1+ w/ 3bar PT!

The baily valve I installed was new--I installed the K & N filter 10 months before I replaced the new baily valve and hoses--I never heard the sound until baily bpv. install. I thought that it was the valve diverting air to the wastegate instead of it slamming back into the spinning turbo. my facotry bpv was leaking inside, not sending the air to the wastegate and never making the sound? Is it the air rushing through the wastegate? Or the air in the air box where the K & N is??
also, anyone have experience with the stromung 3" turbo back stainless exhaust-- Fit, sound, hp or torque increase ??
really appreciate any info.

My friend has a 95 Eclipse GS-T and he has an HKS Blow off valve (wastegate) and his car makes the same sound. It's the air pressure being relieved when the blow off opens up between shifts and when you hit the clutch. Perfectly normal, some are just a little more audible than others. I can hear his all the way at the end of my neighborhood. Its loud! Sounds like WHOOSH!!!!!!

What you are hearing is the air from the airbox getting pushed out i changed filters to a stock paper one, and the noise it lessened. Which leads me to believe that the K&N lets more air through, which is GOOD hehehe... By the way there is a Supercharger out for the car just not in this country and not from Motodyne, he is a POS salesman, who probably works out of his house, there is no such building as Motodyne, i have checked with the local authorites in New Jersey, to make sure, even when you call 1-856-555-1212 the number doesn't exist with them, which leads me to believe its either unlisted or its a cell phone. Also his address is a PO Box, if he supposedly owned the shop in the pic on his main page, i'm almost positive that he'd actually have an address to his business. WHICH HE IS A FRAUD!
