Jason-
I'm trading cars with the guy with the S6. (Plus some dough). He is a fanatic (just like you and me!) and he'll take good care of it.

The S6 is just Stage 1 chip with full 3" scorpion exhaust. Give me a few weeks to get some cash, and I'll at least stage 2+ her. Also Bilstein/Eibach suspension.

you get all the one touch features, especially with the sunroof. Like I mentioned before, I think I'd rather have a moded UrS6 over and S8...

Kinda short lived with you and the white one. had to live up to your handle, eh? haven't heard much of your impressions of the white one. I remember one guy was thinking of buying it from that dealer, Auto Europe and brought it back two days after having it saying it was just too fast. He got two tickets in two days...

But the S6 can be just as quick/quicker! I too would rather have a modded urS6 over the S8. I wouldn't mind some S8 wheels on my S6 though!

I fell in love with the S4, and wanted some more, and a little bit redefined (hello S6!)

Jason are you gonna come to the s-car nationals in Denver? I still owe you lunch er sumthin..

not sure if it's possible. I've been trying to secure a position with VW/AOA the past couple of months and havn't made any headway. If something comes thru for me soon then I will focus more efforts on comming out there... Funning thing is I have an opportunity of getting my old ride back. I would love to bring her out to the fest...

Your car is sweet, got me all set on getting an urs4. I have the front pic set as my computer' walpaper. Now I am too thinking about an urs6 instead of the urs4.

What is the difference between the s4 and s6, Can't seem to find out a whole lot about the s6. Like options and what not?

Now all i need is this damn insurance thing to go through.....then can you say road trip?

I'm going to do a 3" exhaust on my car and would love to see what the Scorpion looks like from underneath, see all of the mounting points and how it interfaces w/ the cats and such.

Thanks,
TM

just off the top of my head:

'95 S6
The three spoke steering wheel
chrome around the windows
aluminum around the guages
color keyed bumper covers and molding (UrS4 has black modling and bumper cover)

'95.5 S6 adds
16" Avus rims
the updated one touch sunroof controls
and updated one touch window controls (UrS4 just has one touch for driver down)

just a bit more refined and updated. I'm sure I'm missing something however...

That's a good list. Most changes were cosmetic. The only major mechanical change was the addition of Quattro IV on the '95.5. This eliminates the center console diff lock button and changes the ABS.

RF is much better than IR for the remote locks.

However, newer is not always better. The UrS4 had some goodies that the S6 does not have. If you want a rear swaybar, you only choice is the '92 (retrofitting is VERY expensive and IS NOT a bolt-on affair). If you want carbon fiber trim, then you have to go with a '93. Retrofitting is VERY expensive, if you can even find someone willing to part with their cf trim. Those are just a couple of examples.

Go to my site for a mostly complete listing. Click on S4/S6 FAQ, then look for 'model changes'.

That pearl car was pretty sweet - I'll get some pics of my (new) S6 up soon. The SSR Integral wheels look REALLY sweet!

Pics coming soon....
