What should I expect if I add a K&N or similar filter to my '96 S6? Any suggestions for filter type? Is there a full intake kit available or just a drop in filter? Thanks in advance!

K&N filter number for UrS4/ UrS6 factory stock filter replacment is 33-2029

There are cone filter replacement kits available, but unless you need the room, the OEM air box is best IMO. There are too many compromises made in eliminating the airbox.

I believe anyone expecting performance gains will be disappointed.

Stick with the stock paper filter. Flows fine, filters more.

I have a K&N I would like to sell - window sticker included for bragging rights.
