Keep the holidays happy. G Bebeto 12-22-2008, 04:35 PM Sorry about the joke, I didn't read the article. And yes, it is Audi 100. I also feel unsecure on slippery roads and am very careful as my tires have some miles on them and are all weather and not winter tires. I had a ride in a BMW, 2-3 years old 3 series these days. I was not driving. I expected it to slide alot as it is rear weel drive, but it was very stable (the road may have been treated already)! I know they have a stability control, but still. I am curious to see it in real snow and may be some ice underneath. However for sure RWD with good tires is much better than AWD with old/all weather tires, especially on a slippery road. J@RO 12-22-2008, 05:37 PM You have to remember that Quattro wont save people from dying but some thinking + skills, sometimes even that wont help. A lot of the drivers on road are unpredictable and we all know that. I vote for mandatory driving classes (20hours of driving IN THE CITY) for every new driver in this country. NOW...that would SAVE the people! Just Me 12-22-2008, 06:21 PM all cars steer with 2 wheels nad brake with 4. Honestly, 4 snow tires >> quattro any day. Never forget that. (says the guys who was power sliding through snowy intersectiosn with a big, dumb, grin) G rmccomiskie 12-22-2008, 06:41 PM kinderutz 12-22-2008, 08:17 PM kinderutz 12-22-2008, 08:19 PM EDIGREG 12-22-2008, 09:21 PM Audi Logic 12-22-2008, 10:07 PM |
