Maybe some can give me some advice.
Sent my car in to have the idling attended to. Was the only problem with the car. At the same time I had the petrol pump replaced as it was making a noise. Got the car back and broke down 5 minutes later. 2 weeks later car still not fixed. Car drives but is very low on power. Was sent to Bosch, they haven't been able to fix it, they seem to think it might be the fuel splitter (or distributor not sure of name.) Petrol pump was rechecked, fuel lines, something called an actuator....

Any ideas?? Please note that although my car is a 1994 model it has the 5 cyl engine as I'm from South Arica.

The 5000/200/V8 forum would be better suited to help you I'm afraid. We only got the 12v 2.8L here..

It was known to clog, if it is remove the screen and change the fuel filter.

Thanks, unfortunately I've already paid the mechanic R5000.00!! So he'd better fix it. Otherwise if there's still a problem maybe I could phone him? Also I'm in Durban which is rather far from Klerksdorp : (

Yes I'll get his no (Don't have it on me now) He better fix that car. That's ALOT of money, I spent that on my Citroen's engine when I overhauled it 3 weeks ago

Well the car is fixed. Apparently the distributor head was clogged. The bill at the end was R5580.00!!! A major rip off but there was nothing I could do. Obviously he's clueless even though his add in the yellow pages says he's an audi expert. If you could please get me that guys number incase I run into any further problems.

Thanks
