The rules... On your way to work, tooling around town, or headed home, coast down to 55 then jump on it and count your monkeys (one monkey... two monkeys... three monkeys..) till you get to 70mph.

Then post your time and let us know what if any modifications you have so we can get a real world picture of what performance updates make a difference in passing situations. I figure this will be easier than holding up traffic to make a 0 to 60 run.

I'm averaging about 7 seconds, but I'm including the long delay that I get while the car decides that yes, it really needs to down shift.

I have a bone stock 98 Avant (2.8), in desperate need of a tuneup, running a low 88 octane, with a dirty air filter. I'm probably at the slower end of the baseline. Oh, and if it matters, I think it was about 60F outside.

As altitude here in Calgary at 3400ft will play a big role in power output.

If you know it, post it. Of course being Canadian you'll post everything in metric and throw off us silly Americans.

I'm at 1,299.2 FT (396 M?). I have no idea the humidity.. it changes by the minute. Slightly damp outside.
