So, the manual is missing the radio code tear-out. I've found some threads that say the code is also printed somewhere in the trunk. This is the same as my Passat, which also had the radio code printed on a tag in the trunk. However, I have no idea where to look for the tag in the wagon. The spare tire well is carpeted, so do I need to pull the carpet? (seems like a difficult proposition).

I'd like to avoid that option, due to the "fee" part. Hopefully it's on the tag in the trunk... Or is that the code sticker? My B5 Passat had it in the trunk.

Another common location for the code is in the manual for the radio, or somewhere in the owner's manual packet, if you have them.

...usually in the radio book or the card is sometimes in one of the card slots of the packet itself.

All brand new Audis for at least the last 10+ years came from the port with 2 radio code stickers, one for the radio manual, and one for placement in the trunk. It may be the case that some dealerships still don't put them in the right places. On older cars, we would just manually write the codes in the trunk. Saves time for everyone.

Where's the options code sticker on the Avant? The spare tire well is carpeted (unlike my Passat, which is just bare metal with the sticker). Do I have to undo everything and lift off the carpet or is the sticker somewhere else in the trunk?
