I just bought a new A4. The manual says it gets its first oil change at 7500. I thought it was best to change oil every 3000 miles or so. Also, should you use regular or synthetic oil? Any thoughts?

After 1,000 miles, car needed a quart added. Next quart was at 4,000. 1/2 quart needed at 11,000. I think by 15,000 whatever break-in, gasket seating, etc... that needs to be done will be done by then.
