My fans go on when I start the car, even when the motor is cold. Explanations?

Try turning the air con off and see if that changes things. If that doesn't help then we'll take it further.

Thanks for asking that first, I was worried I had a bad air temp sensor or something. That fixed my problem as well. Thanks again.
