Well I am purchaseing a set of the stock 16's and want to paint them, I will ither go with a dark gum metal or gloss black.

I am one for gloss black. I think it would look good with my pearl paint,but just wondered what others would think.

Come on... Over pics who can tell. Spray two pieces of cardboard and put them next to your wheels to see what you like. Or Photochop it.

GM is gonna show the car more. My opinion would be dipping them. (Chrome)Flame on ppl. Just go Chrome. They are still factory. IMHO that would look best. If you had a darker car I wouold say differant. But the contrast of the black is too much. Ther contrast of the GM is too little and doesn't look right eihter. Just one mans opinion, although I would like to see the ohotcop of pink wheels. (If only for my own amusement.

I was stareing at my car for about 10 min and I just think it would look beter and show off the wheels like you said.

As for the photochop, my cars pic is right there so chop on. It will be a good laugh.

tho are the wheels you want to paint the ones edigreg posted? or the ones i have? I am thinkin about painting mine black to go with the dark blue body- opinions?

On a Lighter colored car.

I painted mine a dark gunmetal color and it looks amazing.

and I am getting the same ones.I don't want the stock color, I get compliments on the paint all the time and then people look at the 15' wheels and have this look like "WTF".I want the car to stand out from the normal wagons I see so yea I think I will go with black.

do you guys like the black? I'm thinkin about it-
how hard is it 1-10(hardest) to paint them? what does it require, any write-ups and materials? I havent STFA but maybe i should.

I may just do a darker grey gunmetal now, I pictured it alot better but now in the pic, im speachless.

im wondering if i paint mine all black, then sand the lip again, if that'll work to getting the silver lip... or if it'd be easier to mask the lip in the beginning and just paint the rest of the wheel- not sure
only thing im afraid of is the paint being uneven if i mask the lip- andbeing really noticiable. tho i could do layers of clear coat- but i guess with duplicolor i hear the gloss is already pretty high and doesnt necessarily require clear coat over it..

i am free tomorrow, so maybe i'll give it a try... =) if i do i'll let you know how it goes
