I have a 98.5 A4 2.8 and I have the worst wind noise over 65mph.
Will this TSB be fixed by the dealer even though mine is not the year the
TSB is targeted for.

I have a 99.5 Avant and have the wind noise too. I tried the plastic tubing from the FAQ but it had no effect. The mirrors already have the felt application noted in the TSB for wind noise - but the noise is still there. I looked around the A-pillar by the windshield and it looks to me like it might have something to do with wind coming up under the gasket along the windshield - hard to say for sure.

I'm going to make a mention of the wind noise to my dealer when I return to have my sport steering wheel with tip controls installed. I have tiptronic and it came from the factory with the sport wheel but no tip controls (long, strange story).

If anyone finds alternative fixes to wind noise problems, please post them!
