Does anyone know what the difference between the part numbers

4A0-821-106
and
4A0-821-106-B

is?

The first one is what my dealer says my car (1992 UK-spec 2.8 E quattro avant) should take. The one with the "B" suffix is what I managed to buy off ebay for 10 pounds...

the B is for an S4, 1992 to 1994. I can't say that's true with 100% certainty...it could be a misprint.

Why don't you call up the dealer and ask what the "B" is for?

The dealer said that it was for a S4 or a 5-cylinder car. But he wasn't sure.

I guess the thing to do is to hold it up to the car and compare it.

cheers for the info, anyway.

The 92 100 has virtuall;y no flare to the arch whereas in this photo you can see it is quite pronounced.

You could try Sandburn in Coventry - they break Audi's. It has to be from the 100 not a C4 A6 because the indicators are a different shape and the front of the later car is less rounded.
