My power windows won't go up or down. They used to work fine, then I had some major problems with the driver's door lock/anti-theft system. So I 'm trying to figure out if maybe having that door apart caused the problem.
Although I have also recently had the windshield fluid pump stop working too.
I think the car is electrically fried out or something.
I can't use my Bentley Cd-rom since I reformatted my computer...Does anyone know if my two problems could be related? I'm nervous about taking it to the shop, because electrical problems are so hard to fix, right?

Pop the drivers kick panel off and check your relay pack, in there is a power window relay, mine went the first week I had the car and a fine gent form the board here happened tyo have a spare from an S4 that works just fine in my car still today. The relay is the first one when you pop off the kick panel, it takes up 2 relay slots and sits horizontally.

hey...I took off the kick panel, well almost, one of the screws is wacked out and won't come out. Anyways, I am able to reach up in there, painfully, and the only relays that are visible to me are (left to right, bottom row);
??? 204 empty 204 271 372

they are all square and none of them sit horizontally. I don't know what one is what!

Can anyone expain which one is the window one?I have a 1992 audi 100 v6 standard transmission

I really need to get these windows going! I don't think it's the motor, right, becuase none of them go up or down...help!

Hey....got the panel off the drivers side, and my relays are different from what everything I've read of what should be there. Mine are as follows;
1 relief relay
2 horn relay
3 headlamp washer (missing-don't use)
4 control unit shift lock (?)
5 intermittent wiper relay
6 diesel jetronic relay

ok..I don't have a diesel and there is a relay in #6
also...I got this info from the underside of the sctual kick panel. It's on a sticker.

where is the window relay???
