I get error for G110 but US models don't have this sensor (according to the attached link. Do you guys see the same error every time you VAG?

Audi A6 1996, 2.8Q

VAG Code: 00799 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G110)
30-00 - Open or Short to B+<ul><li><a href="http://forums.audiworld.com/a6100/msgs/55532.phtml">All 3 Coolant temperature sensor</a></li></ul>

becasue the sensor is not installed on US cars it always shows a DTC, nothing to worry about

Is this the g110 sensor?

When I turn on the ignition without starting(cold engine) and look at the ECT at the AC display the ECT slowly rises all the way up to 90 deg. C. There are no trouble codes to find in the AC system. Is it possible that the g110 is bad without triggering any trouble codes?
