Howdy all- A local indy shop has confirmed that my left side Cat Converter is clogged up and he can get one for $425 plus about $200 labor. I've seen many websites that offer Cat converters for $280 - $350. I'd love to buy a cheaper one and bring to my mechanic to install, but would hate if it does not fit properly. Does anyone have any experience with buying online and have a reputable vendor?

Thanks

Craig

Have you used them? If so, how was the assembly? They say there are no oxygen sensor 'bungs'; is this OK?

I just had mine done with universal cats, not direct fit. I bought the cats from Hottexhaust.com for about $60 apiece, had the muffler shop install the bungs and weld everything up. Everything works great. The cats are OBDII compliant. This isn't a problem installing unless you live in California.

The cheapest I've seen the DEC direct fit cat for is $270.00. As far as I know this is the only direct-fit converter besides the factory converters which cost about $1000 apiece from the dealership.
