Are there any special tools required to replace the bearing ?

If you do a search for "Hub Shark" in the C4 forum, there's a pretty good thread on the wheel bearings. However, as some have noted, the front bearings are a rather difficult DIY project. A Hub Shark is a handy tool for it, but they don't come cheap. Hope this helps.

They had to use 20-25 tons of pressure to get it out. The bearing race broke too.

It was $30 well spent.
