View Full Version : Anyone ever check their t-belt and see it looks new and not change it? If you pop the cover, check the belt, and decided to run with a belt of unknown vintage, you are asking for trouble. These belts are not that hard or expensive to change. I didn't see the old belt, but I would have had it replaced no matter what the old one looked like. I don't know how old it was - no records from the PO. BTW, I also had them R&R the front control arm bushings and the right side front axle, and flush the brake system. The total at the indy eurocar shop was $1428. This was my first major preventative maintenance in the three years I have owned the car, and nothing has "broken" in that time either. djdc 03-17-2005, 08:41 AM about it being new and it breaks, then your screwed. |
