If after disconnecting your battery the sunroof opens on its own (even if the switch is in the "closed" position) and won't close, try the following:

Put the sunroof switch on open, GENTLY pry on the sunroof control panel (this procedure is in the manual) so as not to break the little plastic tabs and take the small allen head wrench in the lid and put it into the designated hole, push and turn (I think ccw). Once it's closed the sunroof should open and close properly (mine now does thankfully...)
This must be some sort of mechanical reset for the motor, I'm not sure but it worked and saved me having to go to the shop.

Not in this case, but in general.

Also, when removing the panel, pull down on the front by the windshield, not the rear.

also i've seen a case in which one of the vac lines was torn and it was the system was throwing a code for a bad O2 sensor. The vac line is the one fairly large one on the front of the driver side of the engine that's a 90 degree elbow. Sometimes it rots out and gets squished and it trows a code for a lean bank.I'll try and find a pic of it.

Howdy- Originally, the whole thing started one cold night here in L.A. (I know, it's all relative...) when the car was suddenly idling very rough and after a short distance the check engine light came on.
I had the codes read at a shop and the codes pointed to the passenger O2 sensor. I did find a small vacuum hose on the rear of the engine passenger side that was part of a T-hose. One segment of this had a crack from age. I replaced that and the idle suddenly smoothed out but the check light stayed on.
Since oxygen sensors are not so expensive and do wear out (my car is nearly 8 years old with 54K) I thought it good preventive maintainence.
I spliced them in using Radio Shack butt splice connectors (insulated) and have not covered them beyond this. If there's a better way please advise and how do I access the FAQ page you referred to?

Thanks for any help
Doug
