Well the insurance company let me make the decision on repairing the Audi. Repair bill is $6,400 or total it for $8,000. Since I've just done all the maint.,repairs and updgrades - I would have had to battle to get at least some of my money back. My friend has located a clean "black" A6 that was just brought into the salvage yard from a frontal collision. So, I'm having mine repaired. I don't want to try and track another A6 down and start all the needed updates that most owners don't deem necessary on these cars. My best friend is the body shop manager for a local dealership and the car will be fixed to his and mine satisfaction. The other factor is that I probably wouldn't go for this model again and then that would mean another damn car payment. I have too many of those anyway. So, I'll drive this until my Semi is paid off in two years then upgrade to a newer Audi. I'll post pics as they tear it down and rebuild.

Can't wait until it's finished, got rid of the rental Envoy for a new Bonneville today.... at least it's better than that crap of an SUV!

fix it right, because otherwise you'll have a ton of problems. I'm always skeptical about fixing a car with that much damage, but if your friend can take care of the car than go for it. Good luck.
