At the Weathertech site, they note that the cargo liner for the 99.5 A4 is "in development". I sent an email, asking when it would be ready. The answer I got today was, "This particular model has proven to be quite a challenge to develop due to the redesigning of the A4. We expect to approve the part for production by the end of November 1999. Hang in there..." So my question is, in what respect did the cargo area change for the 99.5? I'm willing to wait for one that fits correctly, but all the same it seems odd to me that whatever change there was should create "quite a challenge" for the Weathertech people.

I believe that the CD changer went from under the rear deck to the enclosed area by the tool kit on the left side, and the bin on the right was added. Both of these change the shape slightly. A pre 99.5 mat could probably be trimmed to fit, but then you would loose the ability to hold water. I have a Weathertech mat in my Montero, and it is a quality item and very durable. (both the mat and the Montero)

in the right bin of the two part bucket (the tool kit is in the left bin), which is situated in the left side of the trunk. The right side of the trunk has a small bin. Nothing is mounted under the rear deck (except the speakers)
