I've been driving my 2000 A4 2.8 for about a week now. This morning when I turned off the engine, after my 40 minute commute, I noticed smoke coming from under the hood. I popped open the hood and it appears the smoke was coming from the general are on the left side of the radiator as your facing the car.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?
Anyone else have this happen?

I'm taking it into the shop tommorrow to fix the alignment and want to be able to at least have an idea of what to describe. This doesn't seem to be normal. Thanks.

Something might have gotten splashed on the engine or exhaust are and be cooking off. If it smells like oil burning, the oil may have been overfilled or spilled and be cooking off. Just a couple of guesses, keep us posted.

Could just be the belts and pullies getting broken in. I had that smell off and on for a couple of weeks when my car was new and it went away, no smoke though. Let us know what they find out.
