I have a brilliant black exterior with an onyx interior. The seat covers are two tone with the bolsters (trim) one color and the sitting surface (inserts) another color. I already ordered black trim with light gray inserts. The light gray is lighter than the silver trim in my interior. I ordered black Audi rings to be printed in the insert part. I'm thinking about changing to black trim and red inserts though with light gray rings. It matches the red lights on the interior. I dunno. Red looks really good. Gray looks more classy. I need opinions.

these are made by Wet Okole. www.wetokole.com The covers are fitted to the Audi A4 seats. Not the sport seats. They're made from neoprene so they are great at insulating and very grippy. $225 for a pair and another $40 to get the Audi ring logo put on each seat. The covers are side airbag compatible. They look great! Anyways, I'm the first '97+ A4 owner to get them on my car so they're making the pattern around my car this coming Saturday. While I"m there, I'll talk to them about a group purchase discount because several other A4.orgers are interested in getting a set.

Hey Mike,
I've got the same colour combo as you. Brilliant black exterior with an onyx cloth interior (for now). The inserts do take up A LOT of space, so be sure the flashy black/red is what you really want before getting it. I suppose it's less of a risk for you since you can always just take the seat covers off.
When I went to the upholstery shop, I took the samples to my car and picked a colour that complimented not only the aluminum trim, but also the pillars and headliner. It's not a real light grey, I believe it's actually just slightly darker than the aluminum trim. I'm going for the sleek, clean look on my car, so red was not even an option. What I did have to decide though was if I wanted the door inserts and the arm rest covered in grey or black. I eventually decided on black because the beautiful aluminum trim on the door would stand out more, plus it would be different than the two tone interiors that Audi offer from the factory. And with that "clean" theme, I decided against any type of logo or trademarks on the seats.
I can't wait 'til my patterns come in (should get a call this week or early next week). How many leather 1.8t's do you know? =Þ
