Hope someone can help.
I've had an ongoing problem with the idle on my A6 2.6 1997. It used to just stall on idle, after a few sessions with WD40 on the ISV it's now started to idle at 1200 to 1400 or cut out as before.
I have replaced the ISV with a new one, the result was fluctuating revs from 1200 up to 1800 then it would settle at about 1400. The odd thing about the new ISV was that its vale was a different shape to the original, design change or wrong part even though part numbers matched?
So are my odd rev's due to my ISV or am I looking in the wrong place for a solution.....help....I've got 2000 miles to do next week and the high rev's get on my nerves.
Thanks in advance
