I searched and found one useful entry (Thanks Mark's brother)
coupla questions:
Bentley says not to tighten stabilizer bar bolt (that connects to control arm at END of stabilizer)with car NOT on wheels- risk of accident...why? can I loosen it without the wheels on (so I can reach it!!)

It looks like the bar is in at an angle- will this be a problem trying to remove the stabilizer bar from the outer control arm??

a ratchet tie down strap to pull in the end of the roll bar to get it back in to the lower TCA. A piece of wood will help as well - about 2ft of 2x2.

When you tighten up the nut on the end of the roll-bar, you will feel when it reaches the bottom of the thread anyway so I cannot see why it would be dangerous.

I did the whole job with the car jacked up and it is fairly easy. One thing, I think it makes the job easier if you have both front wheels off the ground because it takes the stress off the roll-bar.

http://forums.audiworld.com/a6100/msgs/34227.phtml</a
