I'm thinking of replacing my 96 tail lights with the S4 type tail lights, anybody know if there is an aftermarket tail light kit. WHo had good pricing on the factory ones.

Hey Paul,

I installed Euro spec 99.5 A4/S4 taillights on my 98.5 A4. You need to swap a couple of connectors in the wiring harness (for reverse and turn signal), but otherwise it's a direct fit. the S4 use the same exact taillamps as the A4.

I also helped installed my old 98.5 taillamps on a friend's '97, also a direct fit. Didn't even need to swap connectors in the harness. I suspect if you wanted the S4 taillamps, which are 99.5 and up style, you'll need to swap a couple of connectors though.

Go to your dealer or an aftermarket distributor who sells genuine Audi OEM parts. Or if you truly dislike the red turn signals, (like me), get the Euro spec taillamps. I don't believe there are any aftermarket copies of the factory S4 taillamps.
