My order is suppose to arrive begining, mid-november and I won't be in town until Thanksgiving. I already have a Vin number for my car. Is my dealer allowed to sell my car? How long do they usally hold the car for?

If you have a signed purchase order, and they have a deposit, then the two week wait should not be a problem. Be prepared though for a few phone calls with inovative ideas to get the car delivered (out of dealer inventory). I bet dealer will suggest FedEx'ing contracts back and forth. Even though they know you won't physically be able to take the car, the dealer wants it off of their inventory, the faster the car is gone, the faster they get a replacement.
