Is the A4 considered a high revving engine? At 60mph the 2.8QMS revs at 2700 rpm's. My old integra revved a bit higher but it was loud and annoying. It seems that most other cars in this class rev at 2100 rpm's at 60mph. Does anyone know what the 1.8 revs at? I was also wondering what other people thought. Thanks

My 99.5 1.8T tip revs at about 2400 at 60 mph. It only revs at 3000 rpm at 80 mph. Very smooth and quiet.

My A4 revs about 3800rpm at 80 mph in 5th. I personally would prefer a slightly longer gear ratio in 5th. 4th can still be racy and short but for loger freeway drives at high speed 4000rpm way high, IMHO.
