good day fellow Audi drivers

where does/should the temp needle stay while driving? mine normally finds home at the 1st think line, on the cold side; when driven up hills or faster RPM's it will move a little toward the next small line?

I assume (hope) Audi still uses a "real" read out rather then what most cars do today; example - most cars these days has a sweat spot that the needle will stay at for a set range of temps (I guess the idea is to curb people like asking questions) but my old 4000cs had the same movement :-)

thanks in advance

point SLOWLY in Western WA climate, rarely going above it. So, if your climate is similar, yours should respond the same.

I wish that Audi had put degrees on the stupid gauge or at least aligned the marks to common points such as 9:00, 12:00, etc.

There have been many posts, including mine with reference to 1st mark, 2nd mark, etc. My guage has little hash marks, slightly bigger hash marks and several bigger marks. What is big, what is small? (no not talking about male performance enhancers here)

Anyhow, anyone have a picture they could post and labell so everyone can be on the same page?

so is it "bad" that mine at times go past the 1st "think" line and has never gone past the next line (a smaller - thinner) line?
