My bolt to my oil pan was so stripped, probably done by my former mechanic. Well, I was looking over the audiworld forums on how to fix a stripped bolt and found this technique which works amazingly. Get a dremel and put a notch into the head of the bolt. Then use a flathead screwdriver to screw it out. I would have saved myself two hours if I had looked on the audiworld forum like I should have instead of using every tool in my garage to no avail. Hope this helps someone in the future and to all a happy new year!

putting a slot and trying to turn it with a big flat screwdriver will work. besides, it's really hard to get any torque using a screwdiver with no lateral leverage.
i would forego the vice grips in favor or a small pipe wrench. a pipe wrench gets tighter as you apply torque. (assuming you are using it in the right direction)

and knock it on a corner of the bolt in the correct direction. That works but you should definitely replace the bolt afterwards.

on bolt head, then use wrench. This worked with stripped CV bolt heads.
