It was supposed to be the 2003 version but it said 2001 on the CD &amp; after installing it the message comes up "Hardlock not present". Also listed with full install instructions included, I just got a CD!<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;rd=1&amp;category=34234&amp;item=24 42607740">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;rd=1&amp;category=34234&amp;item=24 42607740</a</li></ul>

Scroll down in this forum. I will try it after I get a response from my seller about not sending the latest version.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/1,20,22,25,27,3/Board/carelectronics/Number/88879/page/0/view/expanded/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1">http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/1,20,22,25,27,3/Board/carelectronics

You need to copy two files from the Installation CD manually to the program directory.
Click on My Computer, and your CD-Rom Drive. Click on the folder called EPC_PROG.W95.

Find the two files LEXHDL5.DLL and LEXHDLL5.DLL

Highlight these, and COPY (right click, select Copy)

Now, go back into My Computer, select the drive you installed the program on (probably C:), then click on the directory `epc_prog'. Go to the top toolbar, next to File, click on Edit, and the Paste. It will ask you if you want to overwrite the two files already there, say yes

I seems weird to paste an "identical" file from CD to the hard drive, but it works. I have tried to run the program from XP as Win 98, I have tried to install in Win 2000 pro, did not work. It works in both Win 2000 and XP if I copy these files. Furthermore, you might change the shortcut from desktop: right button click on icon, go in Properties, click on Find Target, and change to C:\epc_prog\WINETKA.EXE<ul><li><a href="http://www.gti-vr6.net/library/misc/ETKA_on_XP.html#mark0">http://www.gti-vr6.net/library/misc/ETKA_on_XP.html#mark0</a</li></ul>

I spent 2 hrs on it, install, reinstall, restore back to before install. Thanks for all the help. I found most of the info you suggest within 15 minuets of the first install. Computers are weird &amp; so is windows ME. The instructions say to do the quick install not the full install. When I installed it that option was grayed out only full install was shown available, when I reinstalled it was available.

I really want this program. Anyone that has stood at the parts counter trying to explain a part &amp; its location to a turkey knows what I mean.

For Win ME just run the install disk normally. For Win XP you need to do as others have suggested: copy the two lex* files to the epc program directory on C: and change the startup target to winetka.exe file. In the absence of these changes, running hardlock will only cause the screen to freeze.
owners of this BB need to be careful. A Porsche BB I frequent has been warned by Porsche about facilitating discussion of pirated Porsche parts CDs ... ;)
