I just wanted to let you guys know about a site I bought my oil filters from for my '96 A6. The dealer wanted $19.88 a piece and I got six for $51.00 shipped (free shipping on orders over $50.00). I ordered yesterday at 1:00pm and they were at my door at 11:00am this morning. They send an email when you order, an email when the invoice is created, and an email with the tracking number for UPS. I just feel like I should promote a company that offers such excellent service, products, and prices. I decided to try two Mann, two Mahle, and two Bosch filters. I put the Mann oil filter on first (it replaced a Mahle). It's interesting the different sizes of each.

same exact parts at lower prices w/ free shipping for minimum orders of $50. They also had super service. Here is a comparison I did recently for some parts for my '96 A6:

ACC Cabin Filter P/N R2060-66549
Partspalace.com: $20.27
thepartsbin.com: $21.65
germanautoparts.com: $17.00
allaudioemparts.com: $21.65

Timing Belt Roller P/N A5025-54937
Partspalace.com: $40.42
thepartsbin.com: $47.32
germanautoparts.com: N/A
allaudioemparts.com: $47.26

Multi-Rib Belt (21.36 x 1863) P/N W1000-56999
Partspalace.com: $20.13
thepartsbin.com: $24.97
germanautoparts.com: $23.50
allaudioemparts.com: $24.97

Pagid Brake Pads - Front, P/N N1010-88332
Partspalace.com: $51.07
thepartsbin.com: $53.49
germanautoparts.com: $56.00
allaudioemparts.com: $53.49

Fuel Filter, Bosch P/N E1000-29297
Partspalace.com: $12.99
thepartsbin.com: $11.74
germanautoparts.com: N/A
allaudioemparts.com: $11.74

Shipping
Partspalace.com: Free > $50
thepartsbin.com: Free > $50
germanautoparts.com: No free shipping
allaudioemparts.com: Free > $50

For my total order, the difference between the three sites that carried all of the parts range from $163.99 (partspalace.com) to $182.99 (allaudioemparts.com) and $183.05 (thepartsbin.com). germanautoparts.com had a limited inventory so they were not considered.

In short, partspalace.com seems to have the bestprices overall, but you may find one site that offers a part(s) at a slightly lower cost.

best foreign parts.com There prices are normally the cheapest of all those places. They are all "branches" of Bimmer. Last time that I had to call, the guy told me that they all use the same warehouse for drop shipping. The prices vary based on who maintains the sites.
