Ok this is the problem, today I was driving home and lost all brakes at the pedal, did not get any warning lights, the pedal just does not have any firmness to it, could this be a master cylinder problem??? There are no leaks that I could see just a mushy pedal and the power steering is making noise could this be related? any insight to this would be helpful, by the by this problem occurred on the 92 100csq.
Thanks to all in advance.

If the master goes, it will leak fluid into the car behind the carpet. Also check behind each wheel and see if any of the brake seals are leaking. How is the level in you resevoir?

i just checked the resevoir and now i have no fluid at all but there is nothing on the ground, i am going to check behind the carpet as you suggested.

If you find it under the carpet, you need to clean it as soon as possible. That stuff will eat carpet.

But in my case one of rear brake hoses broke. After it happened, I have noticed a leak only after I pumped pedal several times and looked under the car.
YOu also should pump pedal several times and check the brake fluid level.
BTW. Nobody, I have talked to cannot believe, that brake hose can break. Plus I replaced them a year ago so I have 1 year old torn brake hose. So I was paranoid enough to file a police report. In any case attached is the picture of my torn hose. Let us know, if you have something similar.
