Okay, I've read through www.12v.org pages on how to get the codes but I have a '90 100 and the instructions say:
"For 100/A6 cars, the connectors are reversed."

does this mean the connectors are on the right side of the fuse box instead of the left?

OR

does this mean that we use the lefthand pins instead of the righthand pins?

OR

does this mean that we use the connector furthest from you and the one infront of it instead of the connector closest and the one behind it?

Hmmm, what we really need is a picture.

It's the left-hand pins instead of right. I could take a picture if you still have problems, but I'm going home now. =)

Since you do it when the car is running, you'll hear a "click" when the system starts pumping out the codes. Then you'll know it's in the right place. You don't have to keep it in after initializing the dtc readout process... just dash back to check the codes (it will keep showing them for a while).

Hmmm. Someone told me to look there for my car in another posting here.

Perhaps I need to do a little more research.
