i know this is going to counter common sense, but i have a 99.5TQMS and i swear that i have more off the line pull-away power from gears 1, 2, and 3 with the AC ON that when i put it in ECON mode... anyone else experience this?

Never heard that, before.

was thinking the same thing. and its MPG goes down with the AC on, which should be expected... maybe the ECU is allowing the engine to burn more fuel to compensate for loss of power, and the ECU is over-estimating the loss of power??? who knows...i can live with it :)

increasing the idle speed. But with this extra load on the engine there is no way the car could be faster. Mine doesn't anyway.
