They will have a guidebook (catalog) there to show you which one you need to get.

Duralast 48-D. Its about $49.95 at Autozone. Also maybe try an Optima dry cell battery. They are about $109.95 but won't freeze in the cold.

By the way, I get a lot of Die Hards and Interstates coming in prematurely deceased at work. I can't comment on how well the Optima's hold up since they are fairly new at my work, but the Duralast batteries are damn good for the price. I've had one since 98 and still tests good on the voltage drop test.

...try a Duralast. I spent the money on the Optima, like ScottLong says... I've never had a problem. But for half the price, sounds like his Duralast is just as good.

On a lighter note, this gives me an opportunity to share one of my favorite Bentley quotes ever...
(under fast charging a battery):

"If battery begins gassing (boiling) violently when charging, REDUCE charging rate."

Since my car came off the line. So I wouldn't exactly knock them. Besides I paid $135 for the replacement from the dealer so you are right Maini is getting ripped.

Go to Sears and get a Die Hard. I just replaced my 7 year old Die Hard which was still working. I just replaced it because it was 7 years old. The cost for a new battery was right at $100.

There are only a few true battery facories they make all most all of the car batteries and put whatever label the buyer wants on the battery.

the battery the dealer is try to sell for $200 is no different than the one you can get at Sears, NTB, or any other good aftermarket store.

I seem to remember some people have had problems with the height of aftermarket batteries being too tall and interfering with the rear seat. Make sure the new one will fit.
