Does the speedometer need to be reprogrammed?
I currently have 195's on my car, which seem too small. I think the previous owner put the wrong size tires on... Any advice?

The pictured wheels have a 45mm offsett, and are 16"... stock are 15's, offsett?

They have identical outer diameter. As a result you do not need to change anything in the speedo, etc.
I have installed 16" on my A6 and can say only a good things about it.

Had to use different lugnuts though. Bought his Millie Cello 17-7.5 with Michelin 225/45/ZR17 SX Pilot Sports with it. His S4 is the same bodystyle (C4) basically except his lip on the wheel well area is a bit more extended outwards.

....anything definitive about using 17" wheels on a 93 100CSq. I am thinking about 17" x 8" wheels with 235/40R17 tires. According to the offset calculator, the offset should be ET32, but ET35 might work. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with these sizes?

I have tryed S4 wheels with 225/45/17 tires on 17x7.5 wheels. It worked, but there ~4mm space between ruber and the suspention components. 8" wheels might couse problems.
On top of it I afraid, that 18" wheels will afect wet handling and the driving on the wet road was one of the strongest points of this car. I do not want to sacrifise the strongest point :)

The 16"/205 also look much better than the stock 15"/195.

My car is a wagon but you get the idea. Sorry for the poor picture. The wheels look good but the car just needs to sit a little lower ;) I will do something about that eventually.

They will tuck behind the fender if I had the car lowered to the ground. My 16's stick out just a hair past the fender lip and look sweet but I can't remember what the offset is. I don't know if 32mm would work, I have almost 0 clearance between the tie rod end and the inner edge of my wheel. I was fine in the back but the fronts I was under the car while the wheels were being installed and I was making sure that it wasn't gonna rub. Its close, but no rubbing. I could file the round edge of the tie rod flat for a bit more clearance.
Here is a 100/A6 with S4 17" Avus wheels. I want to get a set of these as well. I guess I am gonna have a different set of wheels for each day of the week. I'm at 3 sets so far....
My car is AWESOME in the rain. I can out handle everything in the rain. I'm still taking exit ramps at 85 mph wet that most take at 55 mph dry.
I guess my tires are the revised Parada's since mine are spec-2 which were revised for better wet handling. I am very pleased.

with wide rubber. I am pretty sure, that on the dry wide low profile tires have better grip. And I am under impression, that it is oposite in the rain/snow. Anybody from NY/NJ area want to get together on the rainy day?
PS If you want - I will put $100 down.

I just go a 100mph without problems in rainstorms on I94(Michigan 70mph limit...ooops) while others are truckin at 65mph. Forgot how fast I take the ramps at. But mine is lowered (Eibach pro-kit springs and Bilstien Sport Struts) with 17-7.5 Millie Cello -Michelin 225/45/ZR17 SX Pilot Sports. Scott, see you on Friday.....will let you know when I'm headin toward Chi during that day.

Hands down dry or wet. Now snow/ice is different. I used the SP5000's last winter and it was ok, I also have a set of blizzaks on my 15" wheels that I could try.
BTW, whould you recomend to switch from 205/55/16 to 225/50/16 for the same Dunlop SP5000 tires? I have to drive all year around including frequent snowboard trips to Vermont and dayly comute snow/rain or dry.
